Today I'm going to review two children's book these are books I love to read and have read when I was a child.  They bring back memories. The books are Peace at Last by Jill Murphy and Alfie Gets in First by Shirley Hughes

The hour was late and Mr Bear was tired. But he could not sleep – however he tried and wherever he tried. SNORE, SNORE went Mrs Bear. TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK went the clock. Would he never get to sleep? The familiar noises, repetition and beautiful illustrations make this delightful picture book an all-time favourite with children and adults everywhere.

Alfie and his mum and baby sister, Annie Rose, arrive home after shopping. While his mum struggles with the pushchair outside, Alfie rushes inside and slams the door behind him. So now Alfie's stuck INSIDE and his mum and Annie Rose are stuck OUTSIDE without a key! Soon everyone in the street is trying to help rescue Alfie - but he's got a plan of his own . . .

I read Alfie gets in first when I was child and loved it! The pictures are well done and it teaches children about life. Its written for children between 2-6 years old. Peace at last is also another great book to read with your children also written for children aged 2-6 years. I would give both of these books five stars, as they are well written and pictures are brilliant too.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my first three book reviews!
